Schneider Children's Hospital on Thursday offered to treat the eight Honduran children who had been scheduled for heart procedures at Stony Brook University Hospital this fall until state health officials halted the program.Treatment for the children, whose plight was profiled in Newsday on Thursday, has been in question since the state health department Monday ordered officials at Stony Brook's pediatric cardiac program to halt all surgery and other procedures until further notice.
