There's a newly discovered piece of land in Greenland, according to The New York Times. It's one of the new islands being found around the Arctic as shoreline glaciers melt away. This new island in Greenland was first noticed in 2005. Old maps show it as part of an ice-covered peninsula. No longer.

Hey now, hush up! If we refuse to reverse the trend and allow the ice caps to melt, global sea level will rise about , what... 250 - 300 feet? That'll put the beach a whole lot closer to my house, and get rid of some of that durned riff-raff that's on the barrier islands now! Also, with the new ice age it would surely trigger (dang, the beach is gonna go away again) it'll mean year-round skiing in the south. Yahoo!

Does Halliburton have a no-bid contract out for those chair lifts yet? (lol)
